Lawrence Enoch Lurvey was born on March 27, 1895 to Enoch Edwin and Lena E. (Bridges) Lurvey in Brooklin, Maine.

Lawrence's father, Enoch “Ene” Edwin Lurvey (1868-1929) was the son of Rebecca (Whitmore) Lurvey Carroll and her first husband, Enoch Lurvey Jr. who was lost at sea on December 25, 1868. “Ene” was brought up with his half sisters and brothers, the children of Rebecca and Jacob William Carroll and was considered a dear brother to all of them.

Lawrence married Marie S. Simpson (1896-1997), the daughter of Edward B. and Laura (Sullivan) Simpson. Lawrence Enoch Lurvey died in June 1968.
