Robert S. Stanley was born on April 29, 1827 to John Stanley and Margaret Stanley at Little Cranberry Island, Maine. Robert married Phoebe Jane Gilley (1842-1929), daughter of Joseph Gilley and Adeline (Dolliver) Gilley on December 19, 1862 at Baker Island, Maine. Robert S. Stanley died on November 29, 1890 at Baker Island.
Robert S. Stanley of Bakers Island was the great grandson of John Stanley.
