Ralph Clarence Bennett was born on July 16, 1913 to Andrew Bennett and Carrie Evelyn (Ralph) Bennett in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Ralph was a grandson of John C. Ralph, who was one of the early postmasters in Southwest Harbor and who owned an early jewelry store and photography studio on Main Street that appears in many photographs. Ralph Clarence Bennett died on April 30, 2000 in Vinalhaven, Maine.
