Leslie "Les" William Morrill was born on July 31, 1894 to Henry Sumner “Teddy” and Caroline L. (Gott) Morrill on Gotts Island. Caroline Morrill died a day or two after his birth and he was raised by Lorenzo S. and Margaret “Maggie” C. (Comeau) Trask.

Leslie married Ruth C. Smiley (1897-1988), daughter of Charles M. Smiley and Bertha (Morrill) Smiley. Leslie William Morrill died on August 22, 1980 in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
