"Mrs. O.W. Cousins [Lida Ellen (Clark) Cousins] arrived home July 31, after a three-months visit to her brother's family in Spokane. Receiving a telegram from E.M. Cousins stating the critical illness of his son Herbert, she left … Monday for Brewer, she gave aid and sympathy to her relatives, remaining until after the death and burial of the young man and accompanying the family to their summer home here. The deep sympathy of our whole community is extended to the bereaved parents, sisters and brothers." - The American, Ellsworth, Maine, August 10, 1921.
