Beulah W. Beal (1904-1985) was born on February 10, 1904 to Sydney Jackson Beal, a seaman and Geneva L. (Thompson) Beal in Bucks Harbor, Maine. Beulah married Forest Shepard Stevens Jr. (1904-), son of Forrest Shepard Stevens and Mertina C. (Ackley) Stevens of Cutler, Maine on September 18, 1927. Beulah’s husband, known as F. Shepard Stevens worked in a pulp mill in Old Town, Maine in 1930. By 1940 he was a bleacher in a pulp mill and they lived on Davenport Street in Milford, Maine. Beulah had attended college for two years. In 1967 F. Shepard ran for the Maine State Legislature and lost. Beulah was active in the Old Town Y.M.C.A. The Shepards had two children, Jane and F. Shepard III. Beulah W. (Beal) Stevens died on February 4, 1985 in Bangor, Maine. She lived in Millinocket and was buried in Milford Cemetery, Milford, Maine.
