Katherine Shelton (1902-1979) was born June 14, 1902 to Charles Kirkland and Kitty Lincoln Arnold Shelton. Katherine, a teacher, married John Bickley Bindloss, a well-known activist in the Connecticut fishing industry. The Bindloss family owned the Bindloss Dock at Stonington, Connecticut and several other draggers. John B. Bindloss purchased the fish-packing station on end of Bindloss Dock from Larry Bove of New London. Katherine (Shelton) Bindloss died on February 23, 1979 in Connecticut.
