Nathaniel Pinkham Mitchell Jr. (1875-1948) was born on August 18, 1875 to Nathaniel Pinkham Mitchell and Nancy Jane (Beal) Mitchell in Milbridge, Maine. Nathaniel’s mother, Nancy Jane, was the sister of renowned “Tall Barney Beal” (1835-1899). Nathaniel fished for lobsters early in life and later became a house carpenter.

Nathaniel married Mary Louise (McCaslin) White, daughter of Charles William McCaslin and Priscilla Ann (Tenny) McCaslin (previously married to Unknown White) on November 22, 1905 in Columbia Falls, Maine. Mary Louis McCaslin was born in 1884 in Columbia Falls. Nathaniel Michael Mitchell died on March 25, 1948 in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Mary Louise (McCaslin) White Mitchell died on October 19, 1975 in Southwest Harbor.
