The coin is one of the largest issue coins produced (1850-1933) by the U.S. Mint for general coinage. Measuring 1.34” in diameter, the coins weigh 33.436 grams each, are alloys of 90% gold and 10% copper. Each coin contains .9675 ounce of gold.
