Nevin Jackson, a performing artist and Bluegrass Music teacher from Annville, Pennsylvania, wrote a musical ode to Ralph Stanley in 1968. He managed, in one short set of lyrics, to evoke Ralph's love of the wood he uses to build boats with the wood he uses to make violins and the feeling of Southwest Harbor.
