Frances Fahey worked with Roger Rich on the the building of the Pilgrim Shallop II, a replica of the original vessel the Pilgrims used once the Mayflower returned to England.

"Francis E. Fahey, 78, died Jan. 23, 1985, at his residence.
He was born in Carmel, April 11, 1906, the son of John F. and Nellie (Murphy) Fahey.
After graduating from Carmel High School at age 17, he became the state's youngest registered Maine guide. After guiding for sportsmen, timber cruises, and coast and geodetic survey units, he turned to construction and boat building. For eight years, including the peak production years of World War II, he was superintendent of the Hinckley Yacht Yard in Manset. In 1945, he joined the American Red Cross services to the field director and instructor for survival tactics in the European theatre and three years as senior field director for all military installations in Maine with headquarters at Dow Air force Base, Bangor. In the 14 years before his retirement in 1973, he was employed as planning officer on the management staff of Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor.
Fahey was a founder and first president of the Down East Chapter of the Maine Audubon Society. He was a member of the Sierra Club and served as organizer and guide for the Sierra Club and Audubon Society canoeing and camping trips. In 1983, with a group of friends concerned about the preservation of northern woods skills and crafts, he became a founding board member and the first president of the North Woods Art Center with headquarters in Atkinson. The center's newly constructed lodge was dedicated to Fahey at a ceremony on Nov. 25, 1984."
Francis was survived by his second wife, Eunice Elizabeth (Ulish) Fahey of Columbia Falls his children from his first marriage to Olevia (Newcomb) Fahey - two sons, Charles of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Michael of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His daughter, also from his first marriage, Myrna Elisabeth Fahey (1933-1973) predeceased him.
