The Buckmans left an album of 193 photographs at the Claremont Hotel. The album was given to the Southwest Harbor Public Library by Elsie Mae Phillips Marshall, Mrs. Roscoe C. Marshall the daughter of the owner of the hotel, Dr. Joseph Dana Phillips. The photographs were taken during the summers of 1919, 1920 and 1928 while Mr. and Mrs. Buckman and their family were vacationing in Southwest Harbor. The photographs were taken by various members of the family and friends, but most of them were taken by Emma. Archivists have therefore chosen to credit the collection to her.
