Eleanor Jarvis (1909-2006) was born on July 29, 1909 to Henry Whiting Jarvis and Della Mabel (Webb) Jarvis in Needham, Massachusetts. Eleanor married Laurence Saunders Newman (1905-2002), son of Lyle Dennis Newman and Ethel Myrtle (King) Newman of Southwest Harbor on June 1, 1931 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Laurence and Eleanor were the parents of Southwest Harbor boat builder Jarvis W. Newman (1935-).
