Samuel Osgood Richardson was born to Hugh Richardson Jr. and Mary Eunice Cousins in 1842 in Eden, Maine. He married May Ann Day of Boston, Massachusetts. He was the captain of the steamer Agnes, whose homeport was in Islesford. He died December 31, 1910 in Eden, Maine.
