Almira or Elmira “Myra” C. Gott was born in 1849 to David Gott and Susan B. (Kelley) Gott in Tremont, Maine. Myra was the postmaster in West Tremont, Maine from June 30, 1893 to May 28, 1897. By the 1900 Census she was living with her nephew, William Adelbert Gott, son of her brother Veranus D. Gott and S. Jane (Carpenter) Gott, and her sisters Adelaide Gott and Aurilla A. Gott. The 1920 Census shows her as living with Adelaide and Aurilla and another sister, Adelma “Delma” Ann (Gott) Rich, Mrs. William H. Rich.
