Ethel Johnson Dolliver was born to Benjamin Thomas and Julia Estella (Torrey) Dolliver on October 25, 1886 in Manset, Maine. Ethel’s first husband is unknown. She married Edgar H. Robbins (1883-1920), son of Howard P. and Eliza Susan (Tarr) Robbins on August 6, 1904. She then married Charles Lewis Closson (1873-1942), son of George E. and Ellen F. (Lunt) Closson, on February 10, 1926 in Tremont, Maine. Ethel married Harry Gilbert Albee (1887-1970), son of Henry Benson and Annie Barbara (Hart) Albee, on June 14, 1937 in Tremont. Ethel Johnson Dolliver Robbins Closson Albee died on March 3, 1974 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Ethel was a great great granddaughter of Peter Dolliver Jr. (1755-1828) who first came to Mount Desert from Massachusetts.
