Charles "Charlie" Henry Rich owned C.H. Rich & Co., a lobster and fish dealership on the same wharf as the Machiasport Canning Company. After WWII Charlie opened a lobster dealership on Clark Point Road, later the business was sold to Lawrence Gross. Subsequently the business became Southwest Lobster Co., owned by Timothy W. Harper and his wife, Sheryl E. Harper.
