Edward Wyatt Evans (1882-1976) was born on January 31, 1882 to Jonathan Evans (1843-1911) and Rachel Reeve (Cope) Evans (1850-1939) in Germantown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Germantown Friends School in 1898 attended Haverford College, graduated from Harvard University in 1903, and received an L.L.B. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1907. Edward married Jacqueline Pascal Morris on September 15, 1911. He was active in the Quaker community and served on the Board of Director of the American Friends Service Committee and various educational and peace programs of the Society of Friends. He died on May 26, 1976 at Foulkeways, Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. His papers are in the collection of the Swarthmore College Peace Collection. – “Edward W.
