"The death of Kathelyn E. Gray, 28, which occurred Friday in a hospital in Boston, brought profound sorrow to a wide circle of friends here. She was born here, the only child of Henry L. and Elizabeth Gott Gray. She graduated from the village high school and entered the Children's Hospital in Boston, where she took the course in training as a nurse for children. Since her graduation she has held many positions of trust and has received the highest praise from all. For the past two years she has been studying at Columbia University, where she has been awarded honors and her vacations have been mostly spent at a hospital for children in New York. Funeral services were held on Monday, by Rev. R.L. Carson [Episcopal minister] and burial was at Mt. Height. The flowers were very beautiful." - undated newspaper obituary.
