Morris Augustus Dolliver was born on April 29, 1902 in Tremont, Maine and died on May 22, 1997 in Bar Harbor. Morris wrote his thesis, “Methods of Preparing Glycine” in 1924 for his B.S. degree in chemistry while at the University of Maine. He attended Harvard from 1928 to 1931 and was an Assistant in Chemistry in 1930. His name is on a patent for Carbonyl Derivatives issued in 1967 and appears in many other papers and citations. He held an M.A. in Medicinal Chemistry and was an Associate in Medical Research at the Squibb Institute for Medical Research for most of his career.
