Anna S. Robinson (1901-1967) was born on January 29, 1901 to Fred P. Robinson and Nellie E. (Richardson) Robinson in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Anna married John Allan Hopkins Jr. (1901-1976), son of John Allan Hopkins and Annie Small (Dolliver) Hopkins, on December 4, 1926 at Southwest Harbor. Anna was a musician and performed in and directed musical events in Southwest Harbor for many years. Anna S.(Robinson) Hopkins died on August 15, 1967 in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
"Mrs. Artemas Richardson, superintendant of the local telephone office, entertained a party of employees at her home Saturday evening in honor of Mrs. Anna Robinson Hopkins, who has served in the [New England Telephone Co.] office for 20 years. Mrs. Hopkins was presented with the pin that her length of service entitles her to wear, a corsage of roses and a purse of money. The hostess provided a delicious “anniversary cake.” Those present were Mrs. Marguerite Hamblen, Mrs. Ruth Wadlia, Miss Martha Fennelly, Miss Evelyn Robbins, Mrs. Myrtle Dam, Mrs. M.W.
